Karen Webb
Karen Webb has served on several boards as a director and business advisor and has executive experience in Financial Services, Tech, Oil, and Professional Services. She is a long-time community volunteer with over 15 years of board experience. Karen is currently Vice-Chair & Chair of Governance on the Scarborough Health Network board, Chair of the Up with Women board, and a member of the CRAM Toronto and Lakefront Utility Services Boards. Past board experience includes Chair for Camp1, Chair of Scholarship & Foundation Affairs for CPAC Foundation, Vice-Chair & Chair of College and Government Affairs at Seneca College, Chair of MicroSkills, and Co-Chair of Women in Engineering for Professional Engineers Ontario.
She earned her ICD.D (Institute of Corporate Directors designation) from UofT’s Rotman School of Business, an M.B.A. from York University, and a Systems Design Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo.
Karen joined the Board in 2019 and is currently taking on the VP role of Heritage and is the Lead on the Strategic Planning Committee and the Keep the Lantern Lit Fundraiser. She is a sansei (third generation) Japanese Canadian. She is the daughter of Roy Nakagawa, an Archives volunteer, and Ann Nakagawa, who was a member of the Sumi-e Artists of Canada.
