Kampai! SAKÉ Sisters

Woman and Saké - A Film Screening and Saké Tasting

For centuries, women were forbidden from even setting foot in saké breweries, but today they are driving the most exciting changes within Japan’s ever-evolving saké industry. KAMPAI – SAKÉ SISTERS, is a new documentary introducing three game-changing passionate women who are making their mark on the highly competitive, traditionally male-dominated world of saké.

Our Canadian premiere screening is preceded by a talk on saké by international sake educator and promoter Mariko Tajiri. Mariko will host a guided saké tasting featuring sakés from top producers following the screening. A saké bar is also available.
